NABMSA Events

The annual NABMSA business meeting will take place at AMS in Philadelphia on Saturday, November 14, 2009, from 12:15-1:15 p.m. Check your AMS program for location details.

The next NABMSA Biennal Conference in 2010 will be held at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Other Events

Institutes of Musical Research and English Studies, School of Advanced Study, University of London. The Music and English Departments of the Open University in association with the OU Literature and Music Research Group. The Handel Institute. The Purcell Society. This conference will be one of the concluding events in the year marking the anniversaries of Henry Purcell's birth (1658 or 1659) and Handel's death (1759). Proposals for papers are now invited. Papers should be of 20 minutes duration, and the proposal should be presented as an abstract of not more than 250 words. Proposals for thematic round-table sessions will also be considered. Proposals should be submitted by 30 October 2008, and should be sent to valerie.james_at_sas.ac.uk. Please include your name, contact details and (if applicable) your affiliation within your proposal.
